Happy new year.
During the winter vacation, I went to the Red Lotus Pond (Nong Han Kumphawapi Lake) located in Udon Thani Province in northeastern Thailand.
There is a pond you are looking for at 40km from downtown Udon Thani.
There is a large parking lot in front of the pond, which is convenient. The price is 20 baht per car.
There were souvenir shops and food stalls around the pond.
I will leave my shopping later and board the high-speed boat.
Many ships were waiting on the shore. The ship costs 300 baht.
The sightseeing has started. As far as the eye can see, no lotus can be found in just a pond.
According to the boatman, the lotus is farther away.
Pole stands in various parts of the pond.
Using this pole as a landmark, the ship goes through a vast pond.
After a while, pink lotus began to appear here and there.
It’s just a bud.
According to the boatman, the lotus flowers bloom only in the morning.
At this time, the time was already around 2:00 pm.
Arrived at the viewpoint. The lotus spreads out in full view.
Here, the ship will stop the engine and stop, so you can take pictures slowly.
However, all are in the state of buds.
I strongly regretted that I should have come in the morning when the lotus was in full bloom.
A lotus soaked in water. It was blooming a little.
Turn back the way you came and the excursion is over.
Looking at the clock, 40 minutes have already passed since the departure.
You can enjoy plenty of lotus and 300 baht is very cheap.
After disembarking, I had a lotus stalk at a restaurant near the pond.
It’s refreshing and delicious.
The lotus season is usually from December to February.
Tours are also held, so if you are interested, please visit.
